Pipette Calibration Services From Coast to Coast
What is Pipette Calibration?
Pipette calibration is a process of examining and/or adjusting the pipettes to the true value by comparison to the standard which is set by the manufacturer of that said pipette. The standard in this case is the pipetting range set by the pipette manufacturer to be accurate and precise at low volume and high volume of the pipette. At Accutek Lab we perform metrology based pipette calibration. Metrology based pipette calibration provides a platform where the process is done within strict guidelines of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This ensures that there is a methodology and a standard set for all of the equipment used to calibrate the pipettes
Accutek Lab, backed by the trusted Accredited Labs network, provides comprehensive pipette calibration services that ensure your pipettes always conform to your specifications.

Why is Metrology Based Pipette Calibration Important?
Metrology is defined as a science of measurement. Metrology based pipette calibration provides a platform where the process is done within strict guidelines of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This ensures that there is a methodology and a standard set for all of the equipment used to calibrate the pipettes. If this standard is not followed there cannot be a statistical guarantee that your results are accurate to true standards.
Science is based on reproducible results. When reproducible results cannot be achieved all work is voided. Thus, scientists must strive to ensure that all of their work is reproducible. In order to achieve reproducibility scientists must have accurate and precise equipment.
Pipettes are the cornerstone of all research, thus they must always be precise and accurate. In order to achieve this scientists must choose pipette service providers that follow strict metrology guidelines. Providers whose equipment is also calibrated and follows strict NIST rules can provide accurate and precise results giving you informative data on the status of your work and your pipette. Without metrology based calibration one cannot statistically say if the pipette is truly within range, it is simply an assumption using an uncertified piece of equipment.

Verification, calibration, repair and more. Our service operation has been solely focused on one mission since the late 1990s - returning your instruments clean, correct, and conforming to your specifications.
Is This Right For My Lab?
Are there new pipettes that require a calibration due date? Do you need to demonstrate your pipettes are within manufacturer specifications in between calibration cycles?
Calibration Overview
Pipettes are confirmed to be within or out of manufacturer’s specifications in an environmentally controlled facility.
Benefits
Pipettes are confirmed to be within or out of manufacturer’s specifications. This is also a cost-effective way to obtain a calibration due date on new pipettes.
Is This Right For My Lab?
Do you want to extend the longevity of your pipettes? Are your pipettes routinely utilized in the laboratory?
Calibration Overview
We work with all makes and models of pipettes. Pipettes undergo preventive maintenance (PM) and are calibrated to manufacturer specifications. We use the gravimetric method for calibration.
Benefits
Preventative maintenance (PM) proactively replacing parts that are known to fail before they affect the performance of the pipette. Many pipettes that are out of tolerance fail because PM parts have worn out.
Is This Right For My Lab?
Do you verify your pipettes in the lab in between calibration cycles? Is your laboratory a GLP, CLIA, manufacturing, or audited laboratory? Are you obtaining odd results that could be attributed to incorrect volumes?
Calibration Overview
Pipettes undergo verification first, and then preventative maintenance. We work with all makes and models of pipettes, and we use the gravimetric method for calibration.
Benefits
You can demonstrate your pipettes are within calibration range before they undergo preventative maintenance and calibration. Alternatively, if your pipettes are out of tolerance, you can adjust future calibration intervals to be closer together.
